Omania E-Commerce LLC (OEC) was honoured to be the developer of two Golden Awards websites in the Oman Web Awards 2008, which was held last month at the Bustan Palace Hotel.

The Oman Refinery & Petrochemical Company (ORPC)’s website (http://www.orpc.co.om), which won the Golden Award in the Oil & Gas Category and the National Association for Cancer Awareness (NACA)’s website (http://www.ocancer.org.om), which won the Golden Award in the NGO/NPO category were both developed by OEC.
Speaking on this achievement, Eng. Salim Al Rubhki, Director of Public Relations and External Communications of ORPC said “We are very happy to win the Gold Award for our corporate website. The achievement is a result of the wonderful teamwork between ORPC and OEC teams. The OEC team has been very professional and helpful, and their continuous support has been very valuable.”

On this occasion also, Mrs. Yuthar Al Rawahi, President of NACA said “Our organisation is delighted to win the Gold Award again this year. We sincerely appreciate the efforts and the support of the OEC team, in working closely with our team at NACA to translate our efforts to reach the community”.

It is worth mentioning that the websites developed by OEC have various features that make both of them interactive and informative. Both website are designed on the powerful .NET platform, with a custom built content management system.

The ORPC website has a vendors section for vendor registration and downloading of tender documents. For employees there is an online satisfaction survey, and access to staff email on the MS exchange server. For press & media there is a photo gallery section and for potential employees there is an online career section where vacancies are listed. The career section is interactive where candidates need to create an account and submit their CV through a wizard based interface

The NACA website has sections related to cancer awareness, a link for making online donations, section for cancer survivors to share their story, news & events about NACA, and many other interactive features.
