February 18, 2008

Oman National Engineering & Investment Company (ONEIC) has signed an agreement with Omania E-Commerce LLC (OEC) to move its procurement processes online via “Tejari Transact”. The agreement was signed by ONEIC’s Managing Director, Eng. Mohammed Amin bin Mustafa Al Saleh, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Suleiman Al-Harthy, the Managing Director of OEC.

On this occasion, Eng. Mohammed Amin said: “The Company’s intention is to introduce information systems technology to all of its operations to reduce the daily circulation of papers which will contribute in reducing time, effort and operations expenses”. He added “This agreement will allow the Company to utilize Tejari’s website to float our auctions online and consequently get the largest numbers of bids from their wide range of suppliers, which will ensure access to the best prices in less time and with the least possible effort”.

On his part, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Harthy said: “It gives me great pleasure to sign this strategic partnership with ONEIC, which is one of the most important national companies operating in the field of energy, water desalination, billing, and the implementation of various projects. No doubt, this partnership will add much value to Tejari’s wide client base and specifically for the base of partners in the Sultanate as a result of ONEIC’s diversity of work and the proliferation of their projects.
